Q: "Say Carrick," Quill starts, leaning towards the Imperial eagerly, "do you guard all of those other Pearlcatchers? Do you get along with all of them?"

A:Carrick hummed at the question, glancing down at the visitor that was at his post. It wasn’t often he had dragons coming to visit him while he was on duty, so he was a bit surprised. But he was always happy for a bit of conversation to break the monotony of his shifts.

“I suppose you could say that. I mean, they aren’t all pearlcatchers, but yes.” The imperial glanced back in the direction that the clan was safely hidden away in their territory. “But it feels more like I am guarding family. I mean, they pretty much raised me. And both our kinds were created by the same creator, so we are kind of related. Though I know many of my kind don't share the same ideology.” He paused for a moment to consider the second question, not really having thought about it too much before. “I wouldn’t say I get along with everyone like we’re best friends, but I’m definitely on friendly terms with all of them. Sure, we sometimes have our little quarrels, but that's bound to happen in any family. Though there are some I don’t prefer to interact with, kinda the crazy cousins of the family, if you get what I mean.” He offered a small smile, before tipping head away from the clan territory. “Anyways, stranger, you best move on before someone catches me talking to you. Corporal Euthymius is a bit of a stickler for the rules and will be upset if she finds out about this. Thanks for stopping by though. I appreciate the chatter.”
