Vitals:

Name: Cassandra
Birth Flight: Light
Species: Skydancer, but born Fae
Permanent Mate (if any): Not anymore
Position with Clan: Clan Mother

History:

Friends in Clan (and out): She is fond of all her Clan though a few she is particularly close to. Cozette, Cleavesong, Cymry, and her one remaining child still in the Clan: Alaia.

Enemies in Clan (and out): She is not aware of any.

Arrival in Clan: Cassandra is the Clan. As a young fae in the Sunbeam Ruins, Cassandra would regularly spend hours perched high in a tree near the border shared with the Shifting Expanse. She watched in awe as the storm clouds swirled and crashed. On one memorable day, she had flown higher than usual before choosing a perch. The clouds roiled in fury and Cassandra was mesmerized. A louder, and closer, than usual clap of thunder boomed over her. With a startled squawk, she tumbled out of the tree. Part way down, her left wing caught on a branch and she felt the membrane tear along with the bones snapping. She huddled for days at the foot of the tree. Unable to fly, only able to forage a few insects in the immediate vicinity to keep her fed. Her birth Clan had moved on. Their old home had become unstable and collapsed, so the colony had migrated. Cassandra couldn’t bear to leave the captivating light show of the border and had stayed behind. Alone.
The rustle of a larger form moving through the brush caught her attention, and she peeked out of her hidey hole, ready to duck if the newcomer looked threatening. A shaggy, grey shape moved into her line of sight and she tried to pull down further, to make herself smaller, while bemoaning her brilliant coloration. A head appeared, with kind yellow eyes, “Hello.”
She peeked her head out a bit further, her head fins stiff with caution and fear, “Hello.”
“Are you okay?” the head turned side to side, “Don’t see many of your kind on the ground, after all.”
Cassandra crawled out of her hiding place, her head fins flaring with pain as she stretched out her wing, showing the awkward angle and torn membranes, “I fell.”
“Would you like some help?” warm eyes held hers, and she nodded. The tundra extended his foreleg and Cassandra climbed up to perch on his shoulder. He turned his head to look back at her, “I’m afraid I’m not much of a healer, but I can take you someplace safer.”
“I have no where to go,” she replied, “My clan has gone. I am alone.”
“I am alone as well,” he nodded, “Perhaps we can be alone together. I am Cantre.”
The little fae’s eyes brightened, “I am Cassandra.

Significant Events: Cassandra looked out over her little Clan. They were few in number still, but all worked hard together to do what needed to be done. They hadn’t questioned her decision, though she knew some were worried. She rested one front paw on the top of one of the fins on Cantre’s head and tilted her head up to watch the messenger return.
The message scroll fell into her paw and the messenger fluttered away again. As she read the confirmation she had been waiting for, Cassandra’s head fins vibrated with excitement. Raising her head to meet the eyes of her Clan, her family, Cassandra spoke, “The arrangements are complete. The Clan is moving to the Shifting Expanse. I will not force any to follow who wish to stay here, but I must go.
There was a bass rumble from the back of the crowd and Cleavesong inclined his massive head to her, “Those who wished to stay have already moved on. We who remain will follow you. To wherever that leads.”
So the Clan made the journey Cassandra felt she had been destined to make since birth, and moved from the sunlit realm of the Lightweaver to the storm-wracked desert of the Stormcatcher.

Other Facts: Born a fae, Cassandra became a skydancer to facilitate communication within her Clan. The change also healed her wing, which was a pleasant surprise. She still retains some fae mannerisms that confuse those who do not know her past.

Alternate Flight (if any): She would likely return to her birth Flight of Light.
