Specimen 1P-CRA
Info: Specimen 1P was found outside the portal on the day it opened. She appears to be of the Shifter species, and shifted forms several times before settling in her current state, that of a female Mirror with Arcane Multi-Gaze. When asked about her choice, she said that she likes having eyes. She picked up Fae reasonably quickly, but struggled with learning traditional Draconic, as have specimens 4P and 5P. She is now reasonably fluent, mostly via immersion. She is extremely curious, often asking the guards questions about whatever strikes her fancy, and often requests reading material, most often concerning the history of Sornieth or biographies of famous figures. We have given her a set of encyclopedias as permanent enrichment material, and she frequently returns to these, possibly cross-referencing with whatever else she is reading. She has recently requested writing materials, and has been periodically scribbling things down, possibly notes of some sort. Her writing system is incomprehensible, but the other P specimens seem able to understand it. We are considering using her as a resource for the language or languages spoken beyond the Portal. She is collected, reasonable, and agreeable.

Story:
"I've been monitoring the energy readings for all of Sornieth, and there's some really strange activity on the edge of the Focal Point, near the Observatory," Lilystreak said. "We might need to check it out in person."
"Thank you for telling me," Stormweaver said. She stood up and raised her voice. "Flowersun, Violetbloom, go get Heartbloom and check out the Focal Point. There's some interesting energy readings that we need to send a team to check out." Flowersun and Violetbloom acknowledged her, then ran out, Flowersun grabbing the portable energy reader on the way.
---
It took a while to find the anomaly. Once they did, they wondered how they could have missed it. The concave curve of one of the cliffs was changing, rippling as if made of a different material entirely. Slowly, the rippling area detached itself from the cliff, now going straight down from the top of it. Flowersun took out a parchment and quill, frantically taking notes. The effect was almost like trying to look through very hot air; the cliff behind this energy appeared to be rippling as the energy did, though it was staying still. The energy dropped from where it was anchored at the top of the cliff as it hovered a few inches off the ground, forming a circle.
The rippling was more intense now, and harder to see through. The energy darkened, turning a glowing turquoise. It was getting more and more opaque. All at once, the rippling stopped. Rocks flew to attach to it, pulled from the ground around them or from nowhere at all. The energy seemed to condense into a solid slim cylinder, glowing brighter and brighter as it did. The rocks formed a sort of base, with ten rocks covering the top. Suddenly, an elemental rune appeared on each of these rocks, with the rune of the Arcanist covering the front of the cylinder. All eleven runes glowed for a second, and then, for a moment, everything stopped.
"Uh oh," Flowersun said. Heartbloom muttered an incantation, and he felt himself imbued with strength. "Thanks." Violetbloom nodded in similar appreciation.
"No problem," Heartbloom said. "Don't die."
For a second, the rune glowed brighter. Then, it appeared to dissolve, the condensed energy it was made of ceasing to be condensed under such heat. In its space, they could all see a strange world, where tentacled and headless creatures roamed. It would only be a matter of time before one got through.
"Should we... go?" Heartbloom asked.
"Better not," Violetbloom replied. "We ought to stay and take notes."
The empty space where the rune used to be started to glow. Just as it started, it stopped, and a blue-green creature with too many eyes fell through. It said something incomprehensible. It didn't look like any dragon any of them had ever seen. It flickered through many other forms very quickly, though it kept its color and eyes, before settling into the form of a female Spiral.
"Hi," Flowersun said. The creature looked around, changed forms to a Mirror, and mimicked the motion he did with his fans. Turning around, Flowersun realized dragons from other clans were congregating. He spotted a Spiral and a Mirror in the crowd, which explained how the creature knew what they looked like. "Did you come through the glow?" he asked.
"Glow," the creature repeated.
"Glow," Flowersun said again. "Did you enter this world through the glow?"
"Glow," the creature echoed. It screamed.
