Biography
William
In nature, one of the most obvious warning signs is bright colors. One might also notice the pearl colored marks reminiscent of a skeleton as another warning, another potential threat.
And one would be right, for the wrong reasons.
William has no particular talent with poisons, and certainly no inherent toxins to match his bright coloration.
One might then look to his talents for magic, and then question strongly his desire to join a clan of flight with opposing magics. That would be less wrong. Some of the threat does certainly lie in magic. But even when flights oppose each other in the broad scale, that doesn't preclude overlap. Indeed to be opposite, is to define how two things are connected.
What then connects light and shadow? Truth and its deception. The illusion and delusion to contrast against the clarity of the light. And that is certainly a potential danger. For everyone has there own delusions, and it has been said that for everyone there is a string of words that will break them. There is no poison, and yet fear is a poison all its own. It is a dangerous foe, who can see the truth that you deny.
But that is not where the magic ends, small illusions aid in the delivery. A flash of color has one spinning looking, for the small bright fae, everywhere but where he actually hid. An entirely different illusion to project a voice from nothing, and that voice certainly doesn't sound fae, inflection and tone far different from William's. Small things, which don't take much magic, which even a fae dragon could do in an opposed flight's territory.
And yet, tools enough, for one cunning and creative, for one armed with knowledge, to fight. Tools enough to protect what matters.
Fighting for one named William - a name with the meaning 'will to protect'.

Fae are particularly sensitive to the magic of the world around them. While all dragonkind has the ability to harness internal and external magic, Fae dragons are known for their adeptness at channeling the lines of magic that crisscross the world. They frequently use the magic of the environment to supplement their own natural reserves. Fae dragons fighting on magically or elementally charged terrain will have a nearly infinite supply of energy to channel into their destructive spells. A Fae that battles in a land charged with opposing elemental energy and no lines of unaligned magic will have only its natural reserves to draw upon, and will have to choose the spells it casts with care; the Fae have smaller internal reserves of magic than most species.
