Vega

Few have been lucky enough to see a glimpse of Vega as she flits through the Starfall Isles, But for those that do, they all have the same question: who is she?


She is the moon, she is the stars, watching the world silently in the cool of night. In the darkest of nights, it is Vega who shines brightest in the sky. Under the pale moonlight she wakes, and drifts throughout the Isles like a daydream, her eyes catching glimpses of the children of the cosmos.

From atop the Crystalspine Reaches, she has spied a flower drifting across the wine-dark sea. Perched atop the edge of the great Observatory, she watched quietly as an mage stole a star from the glittering constellations and molded the burning energy into a dragon with shifting scales and twinkling eyes. Deep in the canopies of the Starwood Strand, Vega peered down on a Faerie-child as she woke from her hundred-year slumber, and guided her across the shifting forests.

She is the songs of a mother, the laughter of a child, the stories of a father. In her wake, joy and prosperity bloom. In the midst of wars, famines, plagues, droughts, Vega brings peace, food, sanctuary, and water to the ailing dragon's of the Isles.

She is a glimmer of hope in the dark, a burning passion in a frigid heart. Like the Muses of old, Vega brings inspiration to artists of all kinds and walks of life who call upon her. With an artful twist of her tiny talons, or a quick swish of a star-speckled wing, or perhaps with a gentle kiss upon the cheek, Vega brings images of shifting cosmos and beautiful beasts, of a kaleidoscope of shifting colors that swell and shatter with the beat of a heart.

But above all, Vega is family. To even the most lonesome of those who wander the Isles, she is a sister, a friend. And though wordless and often unseen, Vega is never far from those who share the same sky as she, for one must only look to the vast constellations to find her.
