Aerowyn is one of Phalanx's brood not by blood but by bond alone. His eerily pale fur, regal adornments, and even his form mean he looks nothing like any of his adopted siblings, which serves to alienate him from them a lot of the time, but he's still an accepted family member. When he was younger, Aerowyn was found as an injured seeker by Freyja on one of her hunts with almost sickly pale fur, and it was believed that that he wouldn't live to see sunrise. However, as Shal'anir shines upon Phalanx's brood, it seemed she favoured all associated with them, and would not let this one to die.
The frail seeker had laid dying, sides barely rising with each pitiful breath as the next becameeven more shallow than the last. Yet, he did not pass on as everyone had believed he would. Instead of taking his life, Shal'anir saw fit to bless this one; a newly restored body that matched some of her oldest advisors from cycles long since passed that brought with it a new strength that would see Aerowyn not only live, but prosper in her name. He would grow to become her very voice, answering directly to the queen, and be so different to any other.
As the holy speaker of Shal'anir, it's Aerowyn who preaches now her word to all who listen. Considered one of her direct children now, Aerowyn's transformation was both physical and spiritual, and so he even has an intricate understanding of the ancient tongue only the oldest of Shal'anir's advisors can be heard to speak. His very name, Aerowyn, was one he chose himself, saying that it was once the name of one of the shaded behemoth's most trusted advisors from cycles back. He's every part the dragon he's been forged into, but is a sweet and considerate soul who wishes for only the best, and has a deep love and respect for all his family - even if he is so different now that even he's not certain 'family' is quite the right word anymore.

- Similar to Eidolon, so the two get on very well
- When Freyja found an eerily pale umbra wolf (something that should have been impossible), she took Aerowyn to see it. The pale umbra wolf now follows Aerowyn - an embodiment of his will to destroy the Shade and spread Shal'anir's word

 APPEARANCE Eerily pale for a dragon of Shal'anir, Aerowyn is adorned in beautiful jewellery to show his status within the clan. He's not quite one of her paragons, for he's above even them in rank, and is often seen either upon his own pedestal or beside the queen as she makes her way through Shal'anir. Has a particularly endearing smile. |
PERSONALITY Aerowyn is eternally faithful to the matriarch, respects and answers to his mother and father despite technically outranking both of them due to his position, and dotes on his siblings greatly. He's friendly to all within Shal'anir and would never consider himself above helping out a dragon in need. |
RITES As holy speaker of Shal'anir and possessing a deep understanding of her ancient tongue, Aerowyn can sometimes be heard singing old rites and hymns for all to hear. While few understand the words that he's singing, all can feel the message behind it, and before battle or during trying times, Aerowyn offers his voice to all who would listen. |
