Biography

THE TROPHY WIFE |
|
B I O G R A P H Y
She is behind all of her husband's handsome clothing, his well-tailored suits and sleek top hat all made by Laelette's careful hands, and this, in fact, is her role within the town, the owner and proprietor of Faeflower Bend Tailoring where she spends her days sewing and filling orders for those who live within Vaudemire Way, or those who are simply passing through. Because of this, she has a close relationship with those who work at the local post office, often stopping for a cup of tea with Postmaster Twigs while sending out her orders to other dragon clans, or simply to check in with the kindly older skydancer and his wife, the pair having become surrogate parents to the girl over time, despite their clear distaste for her husband. In fact, her only glaring 'wrong' in the eyes of the community is, in fact, her husband- the smooth talking devil a stain on her sterling reputation in the eyes of many. Despite this, he loves her just as truly as she loves him, doting on her in a way that is uncharacteristic of his personality, and entirely characteristic of hers. Praised rather heavily by her peers for her talents with textiles, tailoring, and the fibercrafts, it is strange that she would choose to stay in a place as small and run-out as Vaudemire Way, but when questioned on her choice to stay, she will cheerily inform people that she couldn't imagine living anywhere else, and quietly clutch her locket a little closer before carrying on with her work. But this isn't out of character for those of the little town- most find it difficult to leave, even if they would be better suited in the towering cities of Light or Arcane. |
A P P E A R A N C E
Partial shift sees her with pale skin, tattooed with pretty flowers and the same tangled chains of her husband's body art, though her limbs are a soft, striped shade of purple that seems to reflect her scales in dragon form. Her horns remain present, the large frill of feathers tucked behind cute, rounded ears and framing long, curly wisteria hued hair, wrapped around her horns and clipped into princess bangs. Her nose is rounded and snubbed, and much like the rest of her body, her cheeks are cute and soft with youth (and a few extra teacakes here and there.) She's light on her feet, her nails always painted a pretty hue, and dancing around her shop to the record player when she thinks no one is looking. Her wings and tail are always present, fluttering and flicking happily when she expresses her emotions. Her eyes are bright and innocent, wide in her face and always flicking around with great interest. Her position as the town tailor has made her more than capable of keeping herself at the forefront of fashion, and her preference for pastels and soft silks is more than obvious in the way she chooses to dress, with faded pink corsetry and shiny silks that glitter with the starlight, she is also the daughter-in-law to the town's blacksmith and armorer, and as a wedding gift, she was given the ornamental armor she wears as well, a shoulder plate, tail guard, and boots forged in white-hot fire and carved with a careful, time tested hand, these, along with the blade she keeps at her waist are her prized possessions, and she keeps them as clean and sharp as possible, both out of her sense of pride- and awareness that they could very well be something that saves her life. |
