Kyze

Gnashing fangs and green hellfire,
a gourd in one hand, a cudgel in the other.
The foul creature grinned, and flexed his claws against his weapon.
The strong scent of magic rolled off of the area in waves
and it flooded his senses to the brim.
After such a long night of work, he couldn't think of a better greeting.

He was finally home.

Fond of strange beverages and hearty meals.

An entity that crawled forth from the remnants of strife, born from the open wounds of the earth. He, in the beginning, was the collective manifestation of some very hardy microbe colonies and a touch of the land's magic. So when he first surfaced from the world's scars, he hardly looked like a coherent lifeform.

But this creature of turmoil and tenacity was made to be a true survivor. Set free to the world as a being who longed for nothing more than to breath, to feel, to be.

From the moment of his release, he scrambled to give himself solid form. There was no thought, no planning behind his actions, he had only the will to live and to live meant he had to improve himself. From mixing the earth beneath himself into his shapeless body, he hardened the blood that came off of him in rivulets, caking all together, clumping rust onto rust.

He had become someone, something. He is.

But that will to survive soon extended to include other life. He did not believe himself to be the only deserving successful survivor and that those around him should be granted that same survival privilege. Regardless of standing, of origin, he sought to extend the reaches of his will.

And fulfill he shall.

Sometimes, he has no idea why he even bothers with those outside of Licidis Eres.

He knows that everyone judges him based on his appearance, but he cannot help being draped in shades of blood and bile. And yes, he knows the danger in his touch, the wickedness in his weapon. Even the slightest clip on someone's shoulder is enough to hurt.

Everyone was so quick to judge. Why should the circumstances of his birth define all that he is? He'd done so much since then, but it seemed all for naught sometimes. And besides, it was ridiculous to consider him inherently evil. He simply desired to champion the strength to survive!

Yet, despite all the disdain and mistrust he receives, for every gawker and enemy, there is a friend and ally. The others of the Ascent are with him all the way. With them by his side, he pushes on through, knowing that in the end, everyone will eventually come to understand his true, pure intentions.

Despite his inherent destructive abilities, conversely, a light tap from Kyzer's staff has been known to alleviate even the most annoying symptoms of many diseases. Due to his background, he has an extraordinary amount of wisdom dealing with ailments.
