Nevada is a sight to behold, especially when she first arrived to the Amethyst. She was one of the first of her family to have all the wanted colors; her mother’s exact color genetics as well as bright, unusual lightening eyes to match. She is soft-spoken and open to most dragons, a sharp contrast to her lover Colrath. She is more well admired for not only her manners but her incredible talent to design and sew many beautiful gowns and apparel.


After a few weeks of life in the Amethyst she was quickly considered a part of the kingdom, and she was bestowed with the honor of becoming a Nightwatcher. However, as much as she loved the night sky and the secrets of what lie beyond - she felt out of place. Colrath would accompany her these nights, and it was when she began to grow fond of him she decided to withdraw from her position to pursue her love for Colrath as well as fulfill her desire to open up her own Boutique.

She has many dragonets with Colrath, all of which tend to visit her often and hold a much stronger bond with her rather than their father. Usually, dragons were punished for this. Colrath was Vigilantes lover at the time, and an act like this would’ve gotten her killed. However, because of Colrath's power, he was able to evade punishment easily with no hatchlings harmed. Nevada's gifted dove and her beautifully sewn white silks make her resemble a goddess.

Nevada is a very gentle mother and an excellent friend. But despite her redeeming traits, dragons still disapproved of her and Colrath’s affair—suggesting that she, or her dragonets, should be punished as other dragons were.

As much as their outbursts hurt the skydancer it doesn’t stop her from staying with Colrath. And surprisingly, Vigilante seemed okay with the set-up, for she had never agreed to be with the aristocrat anyways.
She also loves to dance, she does so every night to impress her mate and for fun. Even her children began to dance with her some nights when they were allowed to stay up, and Eterna’s familiar—an Maren Defending named Marina—plays a piano displaced to encourage them.

Her only good friends are Yin and Yang, two Wildclaws that were the first to have lived with her with a similar situation. They aren’t allowed to visit—due to Meyry’s distrust in them—and therefore Nevada goes to see them instead. She also is seen with Sinpar early in the mornings, talking about how pretty the Starwood Strand is.
