Born mute, the healer in Reisantokai's clan was able to 'heal' him by giving him telepathy. Anything one can do vocally he can do into the minds of others (speak, growl, hiss, etc). He left his clan almost as soon as he was able, traveling across Sornieth, meeting Wernacine and joining her on her quest to build an elite team of dragons.

Reisantokai, have you been on any stressful spy missions before? What was it like?
Reisantokai stared at you for a moment as if inspecting you, deciding whether or not your question was worth his time... or, more likely, thinking of an answer. Suddenly, a low, slightly raspy voice invaded your mind, the ridgeback's lips only twitching slightly.
"Every mission is stressful to an extent. Stress is linked to fear, and fear is what keeps one's senses sharp, especially during missions. Fear keeps one alive." He cast his gaze away for a few moments, going through his most difficult missions in his head. "The only times I have ever felt excessive stress during missions is when there is a chance I might get caught, which does not happen very often... I did almost lose Parce once, however..." He looked down at the blue shaded mouse by his feet, her frills and ears fluttering, somehow able to hear her name. She scurried up his leg before settling herself between his shoulder blades to clean herself. Reisantokai's face contorted as he watched her, just the thought of the memory causing more pain than he was comfortable with. His bright green eyes darted towards you, suddenly uncomfortable with the level of emotion he was displaying. "Enough. Leave me be." He stated sharply, striding off without another word.


You later received a letter, however, ink swirled over the page as rather messy printing.

Please forgive me for my abrupt exit before. I am not often asked questions that lead to such personal matters, but Parce pointed out that I hardly covered half of your request. That mission was, by far, my most unsuccessful, and I will regret that day to my dying breath.
I was collecting information from a beastclan suspected to be planning an attack on the dragon clan we had been staying with at that time. By some unforgivable force of nature, Parce was found before I was, and they captured her. (How such a small mouse was found before I, a massive dragon, I will never understand.) I had never seen beasts treat one of their own in such a violent manner, with sticks and clubs and swords.

The letter was blank following that sentence, a single dark splatter where the ink seemed to drip off the quill for some time. The writing continued a few lines down.

Had it not been for Nex suddenly bursting into the camp (leaking hot magma the entire way, I might add), taking out nearly every beast in sight with his, I might have gone in there myself; I likely would not have survived, either.
I have no colorful words to describe the extreme despair and anguish I felt that day, other than that: despair and anguish.
