Biography

It started as mere curiosity about her own origins, but has expanded to be so much more.
Oversees archaeological projects.
Magnus and Tephra found her, one of two great stone statues guarding the entrance to a forgotten shine. The shine was unspeakably ancient and had taken great effort reach; it had been grown-over by an eon's worth of corrupted ground. The statues were carved out of a colored, greenish mineral saturated with bands and blotches of red. It was maybe jade or jasper or perhaps bloodstone, but Magnus could not guess at which based on Tephra's description. Only one of the statues was intact, the other had been cracked apart by plague's powerful tendrils, though even the intact statue was damaged. The sockets which once held jeweled eyes were empty, and the old ivory tusks which had once decorated its maw were broken or missing.
Violence brewed on the surface above the shrine. Serthis and Mirrors both fought for control over the region. The industrious tunneling of the two groups disrupted several sites and artifacts in the area as they worked to secure themselves, defend their new warrens, and hide below the surface to perform sneak attacks. Deep tunnels riddled the region- the remains of hollowed-out veins and old tendrils.
Others had come to this broken shrine before the the two strange scholars, and there was likely to be more after. Upon having the statues described to him Magnus remarked that it would be shame if the fighting ever reached here and ruined what little there was left of the place. Tephra responded in his usual nonsensical way: "It would be simple to just bring it with us, if only it could see where it was going."
Magnus was used to Tephra's madness; such riddles pleased him. Inspired, he carefully pried out two of the jade nodes from his own head and bade the Skydancer insert them into the statue's empty sockets. When it had been done the new eyes bleached and shone with bright light... then blinked.
