she crept through dark until the dawn
to find her love, her second half
by flickering light on elder staff
his eyes were gone, the ones she knew
the Scourge staged in his mind, a coup
but she held hope, that he's still there
the one she loved, inside somewhere
a tiny book, bound up with string
filled with words from their first spring
the time they fell so deep in love
and slept beneath the stars above
she travelled light, with little packed
Searching for Phen, her mate, she tracked
by half-mauled bodies, rotting meat-

Kiy is a warrior-scholar. When her mate, Phen, went missing she went searching for him. She has traveled across the land and has only found decay and rot.
She has crossed paths with Scourge before when he was more recognizable as Phen. However, Scourge did not recognize his past mate and attacked. Kiy, not wanting to harm Phen anymore than he already was, ran away. Returning only to leave Phen's notebook with Scourge in a last-ditch effort to remind him who he really is.
She builds a life for herself to one day accept her love back into; though she has little hope that Phen will return to her.
