Liandao was born as a gentle boy but became more serious and withdrawn as the time went by. The longer he lived in the Sunbeam Ruins, the more he hid his normal character underneath a shell of negative emotions. He began to feel resentment for all light-colored dragons, which even bordered on hatred at times.
Only when he lived together with Suncatcher he started to cast off these feelings and his true personality started to show again.
Liandao is proud of his strength and tries to protect everyone in the clan.
As the leader he is just to everyone and always tries to help wherever he can.

Liandao was born at the Hewn City in to a family with high prestige. They were proud to present the light itself with their coloration and genes, looking down on dragons with darker colors. It was no wonder that, when Liandao was born, they were shocked and very displeased that he had such dark coloration and "ugly" bone markings.
All his childhood he was ignored by his parents and shunned in the community. Having no place to go, he hid his gentle personality behind steel walls of resentment and ignorance. It was only when a similar dark dragon was born, that he took action and left the Sunbeam Ruins, taking the little Oreo with him. She had been neglected too and already felt that Liandao was her only friend.
Together they traveled to the Windswept Plateau and made a home for themselves. Shortly after that they met Suncatcher and joined her clan.

The male Ghost Manticore named 'Xian' was Liandaos only friend while he lived in the Sunbeam Ruins. They met when they were both kids and often played together in the ruins of the city. Xian had been all alone before they met since both of his parents had died from illness but Liandao wasn't allowed to bring him home.
Both friends are warriors at heart and always tried to beat each other in combat, though never really hurting themselves. Xian was the one who suggested leaving the light territory behind.

Those two met in the Windswept Plateau when Suncatcher and her friends settled near Liandaos territory. Because of his resentment towards light-colored dragons, he was a bit aggressive at first and often fought with them.
One day, Suncatcher and Liandao were fighting about prey and came upon a small Imperial dragon named Ascent. That one was hurt pretty badly, and they immediately forgot their skirmish, trying to safe the little one. Together, they nursed him back to full health and became friends in the wake of it.
After that Liandao decided to join Suncatchers clan and soon even fell in love with her.

Suncatcher and Liandao nursed him back to health when they found him alone and hurt in their territory. They adopted him and are a real family now.

Best Friend: Oreo

Oreo is like a little sister for Liandao. They met in the Sunbeam Ruins where they were both outsiders and ignored by most of the dragons.
