"An assassin? My daughter is a assassin. I, What is this nonsense? You must be joking." Echo's mother stared at her, in full garb, shocked. Echo shook her head, the dragon stoic as always. "No mom, it's not a joke." Her mother snarled, staring at her with an expression of disqust. "My daughter, a killer. I will not accept this, you are not my daughter, you, you MURDERER!" Echo flinched, a wide eyed expression blooming on her face, hurt falling into place, eyes glistening with unshed tears. "I... I thought you'd be proud of me. You're going to discard your only child just like that? Fine. You already said you don't approve of who I love, so why should I be surprised?" Echo stepped back, just as her father flew into the lair. "We have no daughter. She died the moment she became an assassin." Her father stared at his mate, his face scrunching up. "An assassin. Like me? You've disowned because she wished to follow in my footsteps Cascadia? You are not the dragon I fell in love with. Echo, I love you, and I always will, however I will stay with Cascadia in order to sort this out, she is not the one I love and I'm doing this purely for you." Echo stared at her father in disbelief, nodding quickly and taking flight, heading for the scarred wasteland, and unknowingly, to her new home. ྿ Echo, an assassin, resides within the scarred wasteland in the flight led by Seraph despite her elemental alignment being that of the direct opposite. After being disowned by her mother, she no longer finds she loves the other dragon, her father being currently the only one she values, though she wishes that love would find her she is not counting on it nor does she hold the belief that she is worthy of it. She is a kind creature to those she values, and despite this is utterly devoid of life to all others, giving her an almost sociopathic reputation. She has slightly warmed up to others, including recently a female named Fawn, who, despite her beliefs, she hopes to develop more of a relationship with. |
