For as long as she can remember, Denae has been fascinated with the beauty of the night sky that her sparkling scales reflect. Space is a glorious thing, stars twinkling brightly no matter the weather, and as the sun sets she often can be found flying above the clouds, her gaze directed above her as she longs to be closer to the teasing expanse of space.

She can't remember what brought her to the Plaguemother's home, though she doesn't regret her time here, even as she sets at the edge of the clan's territory, scales sparkling like stars in the tiny sliver of moonlight that peeks through clouds; but not regretting something isn't the same as enjoying it, and as close as she's become to some of the other dragons, the sky calls to her each night, and she feels so far from it - so far from home, the longer she remains.

Her goodbye is tearful, but hopeful, to the ones she cares for. To others, she slips silently away, eager to start her search for a closeness to the cosmos that she's always dreamed of.

Denae flew with only brief stops for rest until she reached the Viridian Labyrinth. It wasn't so much that she wanted to visit the opposite of her home, though there was some curiosity. Mostly, what she wanted was clear, unclouded skies, and up above the trees, that was what she found.

Below the treetops, she found lodging with a large, busy clan, currently housing several travelers like her and dozens more young dragons training to serve the Glademother. "It's not always this busy," many of the permanent residents assured her. Maybe so, but it was a bit too much for her. She enjoyed the peaceful hours she could spend at the clan's observatory, a short flight up the Behemoth, but eventually she'd need to return to the inn at ground level. And because she spent her nights stargazing, she was trying to sleep during the day, while boisterous young recruits were training, eating, and socializing.

It might be a nice place when it wasn't so busy, but she didn't want to wait around to find out. She said goodbye to Andrus, Akua, and Betelgeuse, her stargazing companions, and set off again, equipped with a bit more astronomical knowledge and a desire to find someplace quieter.
