Reaper doesn't talk much. He joined the lair early on, and the two founders trust him with their lives. The other dragons in the lair except for Lionfish and Unnamed are scared of him.

It's said that he finds unwanted dragon's homes with the Lightweaver, and the dragons pay him for his services. He never specifies how much, but the founders rely on him as the main breadwinner of the clan.

Despite hailing from the Water Flight, he is skilled in light magic and is as close to the Lightweaver as any acolyte can be. His innate water magic allows him to also see things that others cannot, and prophecies come to him easily. He doesnt tell anyone about his abilities out of fear.

Reaper never felt like he fit in with the dragons in the Water Flight. He spent as much time as he could on land, and was a poor swimmer. He would borrow books from land-dwelling clans, and read them trying to collect as much information as he could.

He decided to leave his home in the ocean in order to gain more knowledge from the land. He spent some time in the Tangled Forest, where he learned how to keep himself safe from monsters or other dragons. His mentor gave him the clothes he now wears, and they're imbued with magic to allow him to go unseen even in the brightest of places.

His mentor's advice led him to the Sunbeam Ruins, where he saw a bright shining light fighting a creature with many heads and a monstrous figure. The bright light took down the monster, and then disappeared. Reaper tried to find where the monster went, but all he found was scorched grass and arcane symbols.

He followed rumors about what that fight had been about. A elderly imperial told him that it was the Lightweaver Herself fighting an Emperor. He wouldn't say anything else about it, but the old dragon's words haunted Reaper. He read many texts about Emperors and the Lightweaver, but nothing was documented about an emperor being seen or even whispered about for years. It was just a hatchling's tale to the many denizens of the Sunbeam Ruins, and only the eldest of the Imperials gave any reaction to him asking about Emperors.

Reaper wanted to figure out what he really saw, so he set out to meet the Lightweaver and ask Her about the fight. When he traveled to where She resided, a group of dragons laughed him out of the area. They said that She wouldn't want to talk to a Water Flight resident, much less one who's never even helped Her. He then tried to sneak his way in- which was a immeasurably bad idea.

He saw the bright light, and it blinded him. The Lightweaver was there in the glow. She looked at him, and he ran for his life. Her presence was too bright, too harsh. The gentle light that glowed from her lair was nothing compared to Her presence. The darkness of an Emperor was nothing compared to the pure blinding light of Her.

He was changed. He decided to bring dragons to her so that they also could see Her light, to bask in the warmth of her lair. He felt compelled to fight for Her, to devote himself to Her. The time in between that and joining Tilli's lair was a blur.
