Personality
  • They cannot speak through normal means, and communicate with a number of clicks and throaty sounds. They have no tongue to speak with anyways, having lost it long ago.
  • Surprisingly docile and calm. Doesn't start fights or attempt to up their status in the hierarchy, content with wherever they fall. While willing to defend themself, Ossifrage is usually good at avoiding conflict altogether.
  • A skilled tailor, will also use the furs and hides of prey and fallen fighters to create attire for those who desire it. Dedicated to their craft, unwavering focus.
  • Definitely a cannibal, but no one’s ever caught them in the act.
History
The world was cruel, and Ossifrage knew this well. Their yellow-red eyes hovered in sunken, tired sockets, watching the two bonepickers shriek and claw over the scraps they had brought back. They were excellent companions- vicious, but loyal as long as they were fed. Unlike beastclans, Ossifrage never had to worry about making conversation with them.

Their eyes flickered back to the work at hand; a young dragon, just barely having started living and already lost to the world. This wasn't an uncommon thing, and it was unjust, sure, but just because something wasn't fair didn't mean it never happened.

Regardless! Despite the loss, such things are never forgotten or put to waste. Hides are tanned into leather, bones sculpted into weapons and armor. Everything is used, nothing is wasted- something they have always enjoyed about the Pit's values. The plaguelands in general, really.

Ossifrage glanced up as their bonepickers fell quiet, seemingly having noticed the figure in the doorway. The hulking behemoth of an imperial dropped a collection of bog-soaked bones, nodding at them before leaving. The skydancer huffed an airy sigh, rolling their eyes.

As great as nothing being wasted was, it sure made for an awful lot of work.

About
A mute thing, Ossifrage can speak telepathically. They are a strange being, mostly keeping out of the spotlight and in one of two places: their den, or patrolling the Pit for materials to use. They go out every week to wander the Wasteland for the same reason.

Trivia
  • Sort of the 'clean up' for the lair. A scavenger, Ossifrage will make their rounds every day. They collect the remains of those killed in the Pit, along with whatever meals other clanmates refuse to take care of themselves.
  • Loves to make little art pieces from the bone, along with armor and weapons. Their den is filled with bleached parts and several incomplete projects.
  • Wields a terrifying cleaver, along with dozens of bone knives, pins, and needles. Surprisingly, most of these tools are used for their craft rather than fighting- but that doesn't mean they can't be used for such.
  • Two highreach bonepickers follow in Ossifrage’s care, always at their beck and call. The names of the beasts are unknown other than a series of clicks and taps that the skydancer uses to communicate with them.
