Daughter of a renegade and a clan mother, Starfall always believed that her life should be romantic and full of adventure like her parents' had been! Alongside her siblings Gift, Jerry, and Hickory, Starfall trained in Aster Clan under the elders until she had acquired enough skills to hold her own in a battle. Due to her territorial nature and aggression, Starfall was quickly assigned to be a part of Aster Clan's border patrol. She watched over the clan's boundaries day and night, also keeping watch that everyone returned from hunting, fishing, and foraging safely.

Her father chose to give Starfall additional training because he had formed a special bond with her. When her other siblings were out scavenging, Birch would call Starfall in and tell her wild tales of his adventures as a young Nocturne. Starfall would eagerly soak these stories up and beg for more the next day - she was unquestionably a daddy's girl. When Starfall noticed that Birch had begun mentoring a vagabond named Derecho, Starfall decided that she would mate to this young fae and start a family with him. Each of them had a strong connection to Birch and felt dutifully inclined to give back to the clan with some young dragons, so after spending a while learning about one another, the two conceived and Starfall laid eggs.

Starfall often invested herself far too much in others and was loyal to a fault; she fell deeply in love with Derecho after mating, and she asked him to stay with her in Aster Clan. A bout of depression had overtaken Derecho, though, and he told Starfall that he must leave Arcane territory as soon as possible to travel elsewhere. Heartbroken and cast aside, Starfall decided to leave Aster Clan as soon as her children were old enough to take care of themselves and begin training. She told her children and her father goodbye, and she decided to head for a nearby clan to see if she was better suited elsewhere.
