This confident seeker was on her first mission away from the ice warden’s territories with her companion, Viroctilis, when she came upon a den of dragons. They looked incredulously at the two Gaolers. A red bogsneak stood up into a hostile pose, hissing a battle cry. This prompted a dismayed reaction from a green tundra, who ordered the clan not to engage. He and the bogsneak argued until Nabalah was bowled over from behind. It didn’t take long for Viroc to snap the attacker by the scruff, since he turned out to be a hatchling pearl catcher. “How did that small thing knock me over?” She thought incredulously.
The bogsneak- Esther, the tundra called her- shrieked at Viroc to put her son down. He did, with an unceremonious flair, and the hatchling flattened his ears as he walked back to his mother.
The tundra- his name was Anuravere- said they were welcome to stay as long as they needed; the two hungry gaolers agreed, knowing they could defend themselves if anyone tried anything.
