Biography
Wings tattered, legs bruised and soaked to the bone, little Tyleraeus dragged himself out of the stream, having finally latched onto the think bark of a fallen tree. The muddy waters behind him were swollen and angry with the recent heavy rainfall.
The flash flood had swept him from his warm nest, away from his siblings, further and further as he squawked and flailed. He swiftly realized that he needed to stop his wailing in order to focus in attempting to stave off the approaching rocks. Luckily the currents tended to push his little form along near the surface, bobbing and spluttering, until chance dropped a sturdy wooden limb his way.
It was here that Halcyon found him; the stream was her favorite local haunt, and she enjoyed singing in her joyous trilling tone as she swept over it, following its path in swirls and loops and rolls. It just so happened that her favorite method of patrolling brought her upon the stranded water dragon. She tended his wounds with surprising care, smearing potent herbs upon his scrapes and bruises and keeping him company until her larger mate arrived and agreed to carry him back to their cave to rest and recover.
Tyleraeus (or Ty for short) gradually warmed to the clan's attentions, and proved to be a curious and agile new friend. His fear of water, however, may take much longer to overcome.
