House Kohld are the jailers of the Clan of Rhodes. While House Warsong finds dragons guilty House Kohld is the one who keeps them. Their primary prison is deep in the Wastes surrounded by lava and ash where none but Fire dragons can escape. They have a fortress made of impenetrable bricks made of ice and mithril that glimmers like an ice palace in the haze of the Ashfall Wastes. And while House Kohld is mostly located in the Wastes all members are Ice dragons and they travel south for any breeding purposes and their ancestral home in the mountains of the Icefields where their oldest and most secure prison is located.

Isca is the head of House Kohld. He is a devious and sly dragon who feels no guilt for what he does. All of the dragons or beasts within the Kohld prisons are his prisoners and he sees to it that while not tortured they do not have a pleasant experience. They are all there for a reason, that a Warsong Judge found them guilty of a crime that demanded their imprisonment.

As expected House Kohld works closely with Warsong and like them they try and keep a neutral outlook on things. House Kohld does not enter into political games and Isca has not answered Bethany's call for help and rally of allied houses. Isca and House Kohld do side with Bethany despite not sending their wardens and warriors to bolster her ranks but their support is understated. For within their prisons are many of the Dragonlord's, and thus Bethany's, enemies. Isca keeps them locked up and has barred other dragons who are not members of House Kohld from entering their prisons. Those found doing so are themselves imprisoned until the matter of the Dragonlord has been resolved.
