Biography
Free and light as the breeze, Irene finds her joy in the cool damp of the clouds in a bright sky, and in the heat of sun-warmed rocks. She is a beauty, and unapologetic about showing it. She basks in the attention that she gets, and keeps no secret about her flighty whims.
She flits from one nest to another, drinking in affection and taking flight when she grows bored, once again seeking something new and bright, something that reminds her of damp dew or warm stone.
More than once, a hapless dragon will profess their love to her, and each time, she has broken their heart, unwilling to be tied down. Love is stifling, love is constricting, love is death, and so she flits away. She will never return to a nest with a dragon who has said that dreaded four letter word, determined to make a clean break.
Irene has magic, deep in her bones, so much a part of her that she no longer notices it. Perhaps it's this reason why so many find themselves drawn to her - perhaps it is also this reason why so many of her children find themselves as seers, conjurers, and wielders of all sorts of arcane arts. Irene does not consider these thoughts worth her time, more interested in finding someone who looks at her like she is the brightest star in the sky.

These males are at peace with their relationship with Irene, and while she flits from place to place, they always welcome her back with genuine affection.

He is happy when she returns to him, and he lavishes attention upon her, but when she leaves, she takes no piece of him with her. As she seeks out other company, he does the same. Both understand that love is not singular, not a thing to be coveted and hoarded. |
