H I S T O R Y

Rhoda was born to a plague Mirror and a nature Tundra father and mother. The history with her parents is fuzzy to her. All she can remember is her older sister, Terra. Whenever she felt scared, alone, or uneasy, Terra was always there to provide her comfort. This took place often as Rhoda suffered often from night terrors. Her mind was almost continuously in unrest. Due to the lack of sleep, the fear of sleeping, and the terrors she would witness, she developed a generalized anxiety. Terra had the power to curve this illness.

As they grew, the two moved on from their nest. The sisters trailed apart and Rhoda eventually lost sight of Terra. She tried to keep going, but found it hard to put trust in her surroundings. She wore herself thin continuing to move on and often deprived herself of sleep, which often resulted in her needing to eat more than usual. In desperation, she came across some particularly strong mushroom. While they might have caused her to stumble to and fro, they also provided her peace. She was finally able to sleep without being terrorized. She'd begin to gather these mushrooms and use them to rest or simply ease her overworked mind.

As Rhoda wandered for years, she eventually found a place to settle into. A cave within the dense nature of the Labyrinth, one that Rhoda thought empty, proved to be a comfortable place to live. Plenty of the mushrooms she'd become reliant on grew here, water was plentiful, and the caves naturally went far back to provide the protection she needed. Her claws scratching along the dirt and rocks of the cave seem to have awakened a beast living within. At first, she froze in fear, staring like a tiny deer up at the dragon that seemed to take forever to rise. She had fully expected him to lunge at her, attack her, run her off. To her surprise, he was comforting. Soft. She wasn't sure at the time how a Guardian could smile so warmly and politely. It brought her a familiar comfort she hadn't felt in a long time.

"You're welcome to stay here if you'd like. It's rather lonely here. The birds and springs can only provide so much company." He purred out, his scruffy beard bobbing as he spoke.

Rhoda slowly relaxed and took a few more steps closer. The two exchanged pleasantries and started talking. Instantly, they built a bond together. Rhoda didn't care for a whole lot out of their relationship. Just being beside someone, anyone, again was enough for her.
