Marvordur

An unnaturally tender Keeper, Marvordur is old even by Gaoler standards, and took in Hocyne when his turner died. She has had experience with the turned only twice in the past, but that was enough for her to understand them, at least more so than other Gaolers. Her relatively simple job lets her have more time to train Hocyne, but she still keeps him on an extremely strict schedule. Although most Gaolers believe that "children" should not have the honor of responsibilities, Marvordur insists that Hocyne help where he can and be as useful as possible. One of his main tasks involves cleaning out others' lairs, mostly hers. Although she may not understand his agglomerative tendencies, she allows him to keep certain knick-knacks he collects in his cleanings, provided he has permission from the owner. One thing she never lets him keep, however, is the shards that fall from her crystalline hide.
