Ashira is the decisive head of the Whisperwind Clan, acknowledged by the Windsinger himself after she accidentally found a coup by the Beastman to overthrow him. She was assigned a personal guard to protect her from any possible threats - both foreign and domestic. The proud guardian left with a small force of interested dragons from all elemental types, and later founded the Whisperwind Clan, settling on the Zephyr Steppes to nurture her budding Clan. The dragons spent a few comfortable years there, not pushing for too much expansion and settling for a quiet, peaceful life. They grew bigger than the Zephyr Steppes could easily allow and eventually, as her Clan grew to be more active and boisterous, she knew she needed a more lawless land to contain them. Thus, the clan packed up and moved, heading for Reedcleft Ascent, where they live currently.

Her Clan's life did not come easily, however. After a long stretch of time living in peace, her Clan had no need for a standing military and the only dragon of any capability was her own personal guard. Then, a rogue Beastclan raided the Whisperwind Clan in the night, defended only by her Royal Guard. That was the darkest documented night for the Clan and they lost a few good dragons to the onslaught of the night. Ashira spent the next few months fortifying her home and sent her guard to train some of the troops, so that they would never be caught unaware.

RELATIONSHIPS

Ashira and Bask are often described as "fire and ice". Their staunchly different personalities and demeanor imply that they might be better off with someone more similar, but the very idea sends them collapsing into each other in a fit of laughter. The sheer thought of being separated is unbearable for the two and they are often found with one point of contact at any given time - be it interlocked talons, tails resting against each other, or each other's wings carefully draped around the other's back. When the two are not nestled in close, they are usually within their field of view and always within earshot.

It is quite the sight to see when Bask's own quirkiness is overshadowed by another's. Bon is even weirder and more unpredictable than Bask, which almost makes the mirror even more determined to outshine his fellow competition. These self-inflicted competitions of downright oddity have made the two dragons some of the most creative in all of Sornieth. They are perfectly in sync with each other - to a point where it is almost... unnatural - and have become brothers in their quest to out-weird each other.

There was never an exact moment that Bask explicitly stated his dislike for Pele, but that was simply because there was never a need to. If you ever asked him, of course, he'd feign ignorance to the whole thing, claiming that Pele is a very passionate dragon who deserves respect. Of course, he would do so with the slightest hint of disgust on his features and a slightly bitter expression on his otherwise pleasant face. His mate, Ashira, has casually mentioned that it is his hatred for violence and her blatant adoration for it that make him as exasperated as he gets around her. Pele also seems to know this and will subtly press his buttons just to watch his polite facade carck.

HISTORY

Bask hatched a brisk, foggy morning and had the attentive care of his parents for a few minutes before they flew off into the fog. He, being unnaturally curious for a mirror, had wandered from his nest in the brief lapse of adult supervision and found himself lost amongst the towering rock formation of the Zephyr steppes. He was found by a man and a rather strapping guardian slightly older than him, and was scooped up and taken back to his home. But when they arrived and saw the thick columns of black smoke billowing from the receding fog, they simply carried him away from his home. To this day he doesn't know exactly what happened to his clan, and he doesn't care to know. It is because of this that he refuses to leave the nest for any length of time when he and Ashira are expecting.

His life growing up with Ashira has been mostly uneventful on his behalf. The two dragons grew up together and as they grew older ~~and wiser~~, their bond grew to be unbreakable. While Ashira was content soaring through the skies and exploring new lands, Bask stayed dutifully by Scholar Edwinn's side, listening raptly to the stories he had to tell. If for any reason, there was an instance that put Edwinn's life in danger - which was on a rare occasion,
