Valen’Daar is not the one who knows where to stop. Ethics and life itself mean nothing to her. And on the rare occasions of her teaming up with Kieran, everything tends to worsen drastically, pushing the Grand Alchemist’s ambitions to an extreme.

Everything about this poor soul is forgotten. Its name, its personality, its old family it’s been snatched from just as an egg – everything that made it who it once was stopped to matter the very moment it became an experiment. Yet another apprentice of the Grand Alchemist, who met their demise. Was its death intentional or not – hardly matters at this point. That matters is the thing it was turned into.

As talented as Kieran is – there’s nothing he can do to return a soul back to its now dead body. But if one was to ask Valen’s opinion – things are way simpler. You can’t force a dead brain to work, you can’t give consciousness to a corpse. But if you somehow manage to truly reanimate the body – then, maybe, just maybe…

From the heated argument over the physical and mystical matters, a theory was born shortly followed by an idea of a new experiment. Both of them – the Necromancer and the Alchemist – failed to escape the obsession the idea brought with it. And once these two get obsessed over something – there is no force able to stop them. The Archmage can protest as much as her soul desires, but her power over The Chorus ends where the chief’s interest arises.

And so the process has begun. Weeks of hard work passed with a blink of an eye. From the sludge left of the young apprentice’s corpse something new formed. Something conscious, yes, but this consciousness of its is nothing akin to a dragon’s mind.
