Mermaid/Siren

Calibogue Sound, an Indian name meaning “Sweet Water,” borders Daufuskie Island on the east. The island is bordered on the north by the Cooper River, the south by Mongin Creek, and by New River on the west. According to local mermaid mythology, sailors who passed through the area on ships at night were often lured into the waters by the captivating songs of beautiful mermaids. Once in the water, the mermaids disappeared.

Protector of the den, musical and graceful. Deceptively dangerous. She and her fellow merfolk love to trick the passing dragons, coaxing them near the den with their beauty and song. Only to then rob them blind and send them fleeing in fear.

Calibogue likes to stay in the still pools, letting algae and slime coat her body to camalflogue herself. then, when the unsuspecting victims of her mermaid sisters' songs get close enough, she is ready for attack.
