While many other dragons within the clan have found Bother's... unusual... ways to be both fascinating and yet a bit annoying at times, the Gaoler seems to have no problem with how they are. As Bumblebee has put it, "They act more like a familiar than another dragon".
The only thing that remotely seems to understand them is the little bird their always with- some kind of Aviar that hides within their mane. Despite the tries of any dragon who dares it, they never let the bird far and it seems rather content with this. The running theory is that Bother must have been raised with a group of Beastclans until they were too big to fit within their home, being sent off by their 'kin' to go find a new life. Perhaps it is possible to teach then the ways of dragonkind, but no dragon has had the patience to do so yet.
