Biography
CELERY The Imperfect Copy Clan Role: messenger/guide Mate: none Pronouns: he/him Bio: Julius was a special Leveret, being born with psychic powers, which he honed over his life to formidable strength. He was always traveling, bringing news to the other towns and settlements as he went. By far his favorite haunt was a little hamlet called Restful Village, where his best friend and crush both lived. He was so desperate to impress Rosie that he learned a bunch of plant lore, just for her. Unfortunately, he was too shy to ever let her know about his feelings, and she only had eyes for his best friend Miles anyway. Still, despite life's little hiccups, it was a pretty good one. Julius was always on the move, always seeking out new things and new stories. Then the attacks started. They were far away at first, scattered reports of native wildlife acting more aggressive than usual. Then came the stories about strange, zombie-like armies of rotting creatures, which were attacking outposts and isolated settlements. Julius began to be concerned about Restful Village, which was in the middle of a valley. He tried to urge Rosie and Miles to leave, but they didn't want to abandon their home, not when it was a boon to so many travelers. Besides, Miles was trying to find the source of all these strange occurrences. Julius agreed to help look; he knew where there was a more extensive library. It was while he was walking in the hills nearby that he looked back and saw his worst nightmares realized: Restful Village was under attack. His heart in his throat, thinking only of Rosie, Julius started running back. He only noticed the large Greater Komodo when it was already too late. But as he felt his life draining from his body, Julius put one last effort into a desperate spell called a Soul Transfer, which allowed him to put an imprint of his memories, personality, knowledge, and mission into a nearby creature. And that's how Celery was created. Celery is a giant millipede. He has a vague memory of being Julius, but is rather more like his own person, with a lot of that previous baggage filtered through a more simplified mind. He can change color and communicate psychically through vague images and feelings. He retains Julius's knowledge of herbs as well as his love of Rosalie, despite the fact he is now a bug. Out of all that was transferred from Julius, it is his mission that Celery retains with the utmost clarity, and he is desperate to find his friends and help protect them, again, and find a way to stop the sudden Chaos infecting their world... |
