Bijouetten työ oli alkanut vaatia tältä liikaa. Niin monet lohikäärmeet, eivätkä vain Rusettien hovin asukit, vaan ympäri Tähdenlennon saariryhmää oli virrannut ostamaan upeita jalokivin koristeltuja hepeneitä kuuluisaksi omalla tavallaan muodostuneelta naiselta. Tämä ei tietenkään haitannut Bijouettea, sillä liiketoimi kukoisti, mutta hänen oman hyvinvointinsa kustannuksella.

Oli täydellinen hetki ottaa kisälli oppiin. Lohikäärme, joka olisi muovailtavissa naisen toiveiden mukaiseksi, sillä hän ei halunnut omavaltaisia mielipiteitä saati ristiriidassa olevaa arvomaailmaa. Lohikäärmeen täytyi siis olla tarpeeksi nuori ja halukas toimeen, johon nainen niin kipeästi tarvitsi apukäsiä. Tuo sopiva lohikäärme neitokainen löytyi naisen omalta kotiseudulta, Eteläiseltä jäätiköltä.

Jouailliere oli neito, joka ymmärsi Bijouetten kiivasluonteisuutta, tulisuutta sekä rautaista otetta jalokivibisneksestään. Tyttö rakastui tapaan muovata jalokiviä ja niiden uuttamista koruihin sekä hepeneisiin. Ainoa asia, jossa Bijouette toivoi tytön treenaavan oli tapa, jolla nainen hankki jalokiviä merirosvohenkisiltä lohikäärmeiltä. Luonteenlujuus oli jotain mikä kasvaisi kokemuksen karttuessa.
