Rowan glanced up from her position of dangling a cat toy above an enraptured brown tabby with a rainbow scarf, and considered her answer. "Well," she said carefully, extracting herself from her position on the floor and leaving the cat to go ham on the toy on its own, "I suppose that it takes a lot of dedication to be able to maintain so many cats, and the passion for felines to actually commit to something so monumental. Fortunately, I have both; these wonderful cats are my pride and joy, and I love them dearly, and am willing to care for them to the best of my ability. Of course, I do need help from time to time; I do like to take a break now and then, but all the work is worth it to be able to spend time with them." She picked up a fluffy cream-colored tabby and scratched it behind the ears gently, eliciting a purr from the feline. "I mean, look at them! They, and every other cat in my den, are worth it."
