Notes for lore (spoilers?):
- Egg found by the Nightmare clan
- Stargazer offered to take care of it
- He used it as a vessel for an eldritch being he was trying to summon
- He succeeded
- Eridanus is the creature that inhabits the body
- Is the original dragon still inside there somewhere, or is he gone? Who knows.
- The thorn tangles are chains that trap Eridanus inside the dragon body and prevent him from using his full power
- Stargazer didn't put them there - they just appeared when Eridanus's host hatched. It is possible that it is some sort of preventative measure put in place by the Eleven to stop the Ones Beyond from coming to Sornieth and wreaking havoc - anytime one tries to come down, it is bonded and effectively immobilized.
- Stargazer can break the thorns and allow Eridanus to use his full power for a while, but they quickly wrap around and pacify him again
- Eridanus can't transform into his true form while bonded - he can do this when the thorns are broken, however
- Mischievious and gallant on the outside, malicious and manipulative on the inside
- Doesn't care about Stargazer, or any other dragon - sees them as worthless creatures
- Treats Stargazer as his play-thing while pretending he has any semblance of respect for him
- In short, he f***s him up pretty bad
- Finds Poseidon's attempts as saving Stargazer amusing
- He eventually gains some appreciation for dragonkind, in a way that humans appreciate their pets
- He's still not "good" by any means, but at least he isn't trying actively to harm them for fun anymore
