FREEZEPOP

Freezepop isn't the biggest fan of talking about her past. She, like Cole, came from a strict clan where there were a lot of expectations placed on her from a very young age, expectations she balked at. Although she had a gift for magic, she was forced to keep it sealed up tightly, only using it when and where her teachers gave her permission. It was stifling, and Freezepop wanted out. She wanted to dance, be wild and free; she wanted to use her magic to put on dazzling shows to enchant and entrance. When she was ready, when she'd studied and saved and stored, Freezepop made her move. Her crowning achievement right before she left the clan was a huge dance party with dazzling displays of magic no one had okayed--and Freezepop loved it. Before they could kick her out, she flew off in a shower of sparks and blue magical flames. And she never once looked back.
Still young, Freezepop did her best to fend for herself, putting on shows for other dragons as she worked her way farther and farther from her former cage. She performed for a bunch of hatchlings in the Tangled Wood. And that was where she met the traveling troupe of Linmaus and his Debonair Dazzlers. They asked her to join them, and Freezepop instantly accepted, imagining this to be the big break she'd always dreamed of. She should have read the fine print in her contract a little better. The troupe was subject to terrible conditions, forced to work and travel through many dangers. Linmaus kept the vast majority of the profits and also put locks on the magical powers of his performers, who he basically owned as per their contracts. Once again, Freezepop was trapped. But though she was down, she was far from out. She tried to stir up interest in a revolt, but most of the other Dazzlers didn't dare to discuss it. One, however, did. Millie was not a true dragon, but a life-size doll enchanted and brought to life. She wanted to experience freedom, wanted a chance to be her own dragon, apart from Linmaus and the troupe. Freezepop and Millie put on a display so amazing it brought the house down--literally. While Linmaus was buried under burning wood and canvas, the two made good their escape, being sure their contracts got burned up as well. They have no idea to this day if Linmaus survived and is still out there. Millie and Freezepop took their own show on the road, earning their keep where they could. Freezepop started to lose control, partying and living life to the fullest, and Millie tried her best to keep the freedom from going to her friend's head.
Initially, upon meeting Cole, Freezepop was suspicious. After a particularly wild night turned dangerous, Millie sought out whatever help she could. Cole was willing to help them. And then he asked if they wanted to travel with him. Freezepop talked to Cole long into the night while Millie rested, as the fire burned low. In the morning, she told Millie she was staying with Cole, but Millie was free to do what she liked. Now, Freezepop helps Cole, using her magic to light dark tunnels and open closed doors--literal and figurative. Ignorance is another sort of cage, and one Freezepop will fight to abolish.
