Julius

Julius is the current reigning king of this clan, alongside his mate, the queen Tempest.
While the former queen and clan founder, the fae Seafoam, grew old and frail, she secretly sought out a successor (as the last of her children had been sent to defend the Windsinger). In doing so, she kept the word of her exploits hushed, speaking of it only to her husband and closest advisors.

Julius entered the clan as a traveller -- a vagrant who had lost his place in his previous clan and chosen to find a new life elsewhere, along with his mate. Quiet and mysterious, Julius was a Shadow clansman of low rank who charmed the old queen with his intelligence and even temper. "There's something about the way he carries himself, or the look in his eye," she had confided to her old familiar, "That makes me think... Well, I'll just say he's fit for rule."

Seafoam's old familiar, a Jackalope named Argus who had been with her for ten or twenty years, was her closest advisor and closest friend, but was sent off to work alongside Julius -- much to his distaste.

Argus held that a dragon from another flight was not fit to become king. He argued that Julius could even be lying about his origins, that the look in his eyes that Seafoam discussed was just the underlying malice behind that shady purple color -- a malice that threatened to destroy their (at the time) small but tight-knit clan.

"But what could he gain from plundering the life's work of a poor, silly old woman...?"

Nonetheless, unable to defy the word of his queen, Argus now advises Julius and his wife in political matters, as well as their presentation.

Julius is, as aforementioned, mysterious and secluded. He often observes before speaking, as if playing a serious game of chess with every interaction. Every decision he makes is calculated, and despite his moderate age, he expresses an aura of regality, strength, and cunning.
