Runari

Runari left his clan early-- he took a chance separation from his parents as an opportunity to follow the stirring in his heart that drove him to look for his charge. His instincts led him from the windy bamboos of his birthplace to the solid, rustling trees of the Viridian Labyrinth.

He took pains to tread carefully through a powerful Nature clan's lair, and eventually his heart led him to a huge, deeply-carved redwood tree. There, he found a store of parchment and books, and his heart was filled with a deep and ringing horror as he realized that they were in hideous disarray-- they spread out over the floor to be trampled by any incoming dragon, and one-- much to his utmost disgust-- used as a coaster by a careless researcher.

The sound of a high, ringing hatchling's voice yelling about the care of fragile parchments and respect for the written word carried out over the forest, and before anyone was entirely sure what was happening, Clan Cazcrows had a new librarian to keep their books and parchments safe.

He has found his charge, and lives contentedly, but Gladekeeper help the poor fool that returns a piece of parchment with a hole burnt in it from where it was carelessly left near a fire.
