"Oh, it's you again." Sventlin scowls as you reemerge from the lair. "What do you want, more directions? Life advice? A pat on the back? I'm on duty you know, so make it quick. Lair entrance to guard and all that." She rattles her spines in an irritated and impatient manner as she speaks.

Sventlin was always entranced by stories of great warriors, so even as a young hatchling she was demanding batttle training and picking fights with any lair vermin unlucky enough to cross her path. She was quite a handful for her parents (and remains to this day one of the most ornery children they've raised). Neither Kaz nor Hyra were particularly skilled in fighting, so Sventlin trained primarily under her great-aunt Kaelah. Kaelah was unable to instill a sense of propriety into the irritable ridgeback, who would become well-known for her grumpiness and snappishness, but Sventlin did come away from the training with powerful skills and a certain level of respect for Kaelah.
Sventlin and her sister Toxica were quite close growing up, despite being nearly complete opposites in terms of disposition. Thankfully, they leveled each other out somewhat: Tox often reigned in Sventlin to prevent her from getting into too much trouble, and Sventlin proved instrumental in helping Tox come to terms with her mixed guardian-ridgeback heritage. They remain close to this day, and their combination of raw power and strategic analysis is especially potent on the battlefield.
Sventlin has an interesting relationship with her legion of adoptive siblings ("uh, another?" is her typical reaction to new additions), who she tolerates with some amount of aggravation but secretly cares about quite a lot. She is particularly secretly attached to Kanji, the nocturne who has taken it upon himself to copy her specifically out of all the dragons in the lair. Kanji can often be found perched on her horns, delightedly and adorably copying Sventlin as she grumps her way through the day.
Sventlin is a member of the lair guard, and spends her off-hours on battle patrols or trying to sleep in high-traffic parts of the lair (and subsequently getting mad at anyone who wakes her up). She is to be avoided at all cost during her molts, as the normally irritable and blunt ridgeback can be downright mean if disturbed during these time periods. Generally she holes up in her cave and only allows Tox or Kanji entrance, so the two take it upon themselves to ensure she has enough food and water to last the molt.
