Some time ago, an exiled herbalist called Morgana stumbled upon Malstrom, a loner with outstanding survival skills. Whether their encounter happened by chance or fate remains a mystery, but they both agree it was the most meaningful event of their life. Not only did they fall in love, the two of them also decided to leave the Windswept Plateau and settled down between a large river and a forest in the land of the Lightweaver, a place full of lost ruins where no one else bothered them - and they truly felt at home.

As they both had lost every kind of connection with the past, Morgana and Malstrom established a small clan and soon started to take in abandoned, banished and lost dragons of all kinds. This led to a rapid increase of the clan's size - located as close to the borders as it was, the so-called Sanctuary often was the first place border-crossing fleeing or traveling dragons were able to find.

Soon enough, resources started to become increasingly sparse. Much to their discontent, the two founders realised that they were no longer able to care for everyone. Especially the unskilled, orphaned hatchlings that wanted to stay had proven to be a burden. It was a hard decision, but in the end, they had no choice but to stop accepting all dragons in need at their place. As such, new applicants had to have something special about them, usually a specific skill or a noteworthy origin.
