Keeper of the Dead

Subdued | Solitary | Dutiful

Just beneath the Sylvanwood Palace lies the clans catacombs, modest and small but enough for a clan that rarely sees real violence. It's here that the old Sage Evalisia can be found, meticulously tending to the tombs there within. Having a vast knowledge on burial rites and rituals, on all prayers and incantations, she is entrusted to be the sole caretaker of the Gladewalkers dead. Both working and living beneath the palace, Evalisia is rarely ever seen above ground and remains quite solitary, but whenever a dragon has passed it is she who is relied upon to help put them to rest.

Despite any stigma surrounding her work with the dead, Evalisia takes enormous pride in what she does. If ever anyone expresses any distaste for what she does, she simply scoffs and turns away. Whether a natural gift or something she acquired after so many years dutifully tending to the dead, Evalisia has the mysterious ability to see into the next plain and even converse with the spirits who reside there. Forging bonds that she cherishes with many of the spirits she's crossed paths with, they have taught her everything she knows and thus the old skydancer feels obligated to care for them and any other spirits as best she can. Knowing most others would not understand this unique ability or the company she keeps thanks to it, few know about it, but she has been known to pass on vital information gathered from the other side to the Queen in times of great need. Evalisia has great faith in the knowledge of the souls of the dead and shares a deeper connection to those who have passed than to those within her clan.
