Outlander
Outlanders are tolerated at the edges of the clan's territory. Most wish to some day gain a place as a true member of the clan, but few will. So they wait. Some bide their time training to serve the Gods. Others court mates from the clan hoping to 'upgrade' to a lair towards its heart. Still others work towards a trade that will make them invaluable to the clan. Some spend less than a day before they move on (by choice or force), while others have more potential and may languish for years. Parentless dragons found while scavenging or in battle are given particular leeway as Outlanders - they have not had the benefit of parenting or a clan's attention, after all. However, some never earn the right to visit the clan's alchemists. They eventually realize they will never find a true home in the clan and eventually leave.
The life of an Outlander is not all bad. Although they aren't offered protection at the level of those in heart of the clan, scouts fly by regularly and every habitable lair is technically under the protection of the clans guards. This makes even temporary respite as an Outlander preferable to scraping out a living in the Realm on your own.

Very wise, eerie, and elegant in demeanor, but her thoughts and emotions are extremely alien and difficult to decipher, even for Skydancers, the most empathic dragons on a species level. She seems benign, and could offer extremely advanced and useful information to dragons- but only if one asks correctly. She can expertly deflect questions and has a soft, but surprisingly loud, voice. She may have a habit of growing bizarre plants (the seeds of which could well have become trapped in her feathers before she left her home planet).
