Biography

A progeny of the original colony that decided to travel abroad after the great collapse. She had been among the few dragons and hatchlings rescued from the sea by a passing water flight vessel. As she watched her colony's lovingly built balconies and nests sink into the depths she vowed to never come back to Plague's festering shores. And she never did. There are rumors of an old woman who sounds like her mother in the Undercroft but she's never looked. Never had it in her to have her heart broken again.

She crawled her way out of orphan life by the skin of her teeth and claws. Just a teenager when she lost everything, she spent years catching up to her peers with greater advantages. Beletsiri threw herself headlong into her studies. She drew on all the home schooling of her colony's matriarch, now probably long dead and rotten, to charm her professors and peers. She worked tirelessly to build a new dragon, a persona untainted by her childhood spent in the fae rafters of that cliff over the sea. She could never look back if she wanted to move forward.

She never told her Spire colleagues where in Plague she came from, but not even the greatest illusionist could hide their flight. 'Siri learned from them but can never quite understand them. There's a detachment about them that she can never really shake off herself. Deep down, she's still a plagueling, still a part of the people who live their lives upon the ground building their homes with their own claws. Her elemental nature festered in her heart as an adult just as it did when she was but an egg nestled lovingly in her colony's fungal roots. It's an asset to have a feel for other's rage and contention. All those years spent flying upward never robbed her of her ability to hear a battle happening on the ground.

So when she heard that the disgraced alchemist took his boxes of automatons and moved out to the wastes to hide from prying eyes...
She followed him home.
