Biography
────────────────────────────────────────────────────── can you hear the silence? can you see the dark? can you fix the broken? can you heal my heart? ────────────────────────────────────────────────────── Ikaros.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.the god of dreams and nightmares ────────────────────────────────────────────────────── .xxxx ────────────────────────────────────────────────────── |
Once upon a time, a god fell in love with a mortal. Most believed he was crazy, as he was like a star, shining bright, making dreams come true, and sometimes night mares, too. In their eyes, compared to him she was an ant. Insignificant, something that would catch on fire if she stayed in his direct light for too long. But the god, he didn’t see her that way. To him, she was like a supernova- startling, powerful, something that shined brighter than anything else in the entire universe. Compared to her strength, and power, and beauty, he thought himself insignificant. He believed himself unworthy of her. He was the god of dreams and nature. He w as selfish and arrogant on his best days, but he changed in her presence. He became better. She made him a better god. |
To her, he was like a wildfire. A random spark sent him her way and changed her li fe forever. He obliterated all the death she felt inside her, all the doubts, the insecurit ies, the depression. He burned away the unhealthy thoughts that filled her head, and made room for new dreams to grow. He was her wildfire, and she was his supernova. The council of gods did not approve. It was against the laws of the deities for a god to mate at all, let alone with a mortal. But he did not care. In the kingdom of the god s, love for another was punishable by death. |
So the god, he ran. He abandoned the holy land where he had grown up and descended to Sornieth. He k new that the gods would be unhappy with his choice, and if they couldn’t find him, they would take out t heir vengeance on her instead. When he found her he vowed to keep her safe, but he told her that they ha d to run, they had to find a place where they could hide, where they wouldn’t be found. She knew that the two of them couldn’t start their own clan, but they also couldn’t survive without the saf ety of the clan to protect them, not in today’s world. Not in a world where ancient dragons were slowly a wakening after years and years of sleep. |
But he told her not to worry. He had a plan. He knew of a clan where they would be accepted, a clan full of seers-magicians and alchemists and sorcerers. A clan who’s magic could hide them from even the deity of t heir homeland. So they ran to them. They ran to them and they asked for shelter, for a home. To their relief, the kings allowed them to stay. So they made a cave for themselves with in the safety of the magical perimeter, and they slowly but surely got used to the cold. In each other they found everything they had been mis sing. They found love, and light, and happiness. However, in the end, Ikaros was still a god, and Sarai w as still a mortal. Their love would come to bore the first known demigods. | |
