"Drop that!" Bael snapped at the nocturne that was sifting through scrolls. "Drop it immediately!" Startled, she did as she was told and gave a small remorseful cheep. "Yes, well, you shouldn't meddle with things that don't belong to you. Now out!" He flew at her to drive his point across. When she had gone and he was alone once more, he heaved a great sigh and began to resettle the scrolls in the proper order, muttering about how they had been befouled by the ignorant fumblings of the uncouth.

Bael is a meticulous fellow and despairs of drawing breath amid his fellow dragons, as precious few of them share his sentiments. He does not like anyone toying with his property or rearranging his things. He always has a plan, every step thought out carefully. When other dragons can't or won't follow suit it can destroy him and send him into a tizzy. He has a bit of a temper because of this and will lash out without prejudice. He will even make his displeasure known to members of the Council, something that very few dragons dare to do.

Luckily for Bael, his skills in getting things organized and his particular nature are indispensable, so his snappishness is largely tolerated. Besides, for a great deal of time he is winging his way from clan to clan and his brusque manner in dealing with strange dragons is considered an asset, not a hindrance.
