He heard it. The loud crack that woke everyone. Some were sent into panic, trying to gather what they could, thinking the lair was falling apart. Others were just confused.

CRACK! There it was again. He heard screams of panic, but then-

"SILENCE!" Everyone froze.

Cather was hanging from the top of the sleeping area, wings outstretched so everyone could see her.

"You have no reason for panic! Instead, you should do quite the opposite. It's a time to celebrate, for the Thundercrack Carnivale has begun!" Another crack was synced with the end of her sentence, as if to agree with her.

As the realization hit, people began cheering. Phenomenon, however, felt drawn to the outside. He made his way over to the exit of the lair, being careful to make sure he didn't get stepped on.

For a moment he just stood at the entrance. He was mesmerized by the patterns the lightning made in the sky. All of a sudden, he felt the presence of a dragon next to him.

"Beautiful, isn't it?" He whipped his head around to find Aetolus sitting next to him. "Stormcatcher must love the display. Wouldn't have much time to enjoy it though, unless he gave everyone the week off."

"Yeah...." He replied softly.

Aetolus looked him in the eyes for a moment, then smiled. "I do believe I choose the right person for our Lightning Ambassador. Go ahead; Fly. The lightning will make you stronger."

He needed no more prompting before he opened his wings and started soaring.
