Hidden behind the museum's walls, he sits in his studio. His long desk is covered in oddities and art supplies- pelts and skulls, wire and glue. Peering through a large lens, he carefully picks up a tiny bone with a set of tweezers and dabs some glue on one end, gently pressing it onto the partially assembled skeleton of a small bird. Nearby sits a sketchbook, open to an intricately detailed plan for a large display- a tree, with dozens of birds, some skeletal, some stuffed. It will be breathtaking when it is complete. He will make sure of it.

Yarrow was originally a taxidermist before he came to the museum. He had grown bored of the endless head mounts and stuffed fish. He was an artist, a natural historian- he wanted to show his work in a better way than hunting trophies, something more respectful, more educational. The museum happily hired him on, early in its youth, and he set to work making it beautiful.

Now, he is responsible for most of the natural history wing. He works closely with Anning, making her plaster bones or fake taxidermy of ancient creatures. While she seems to live in the distant past, his thoughts are all about the present, and the future- outside of his museum work, he volunteers with multiple conservation groups.

Yarrow is a quiet, gentle man. He wears dry herbs and flowers, blooms in his chest pocket, tucked being his crest. He finds the scent soothing. He gets very anxious around people sometimes, but could talk about animals for hours if you let him. Some find it difficult to see how someone so kind and thoughtful can be in his line of work, as though taxidermy is somehow innately cruel. He treats his work with respect, thanking the animals, honoring their lives.
