A greatly angered Gaoler storms out of the den, claiming that, "Another second with those monsters and I'll end my own life to leave!" Needless to say the higherup's complied. That dragon, however, had now left the group to run amok to commit their various crimes against dragon-kind unsupervised. He had to select another for the duty. Since the spread of Gaolers had been widespread there were many more options available. So they asked a resident they knew who could make such a choice, Monarch. Her history with her uncle TragedyFuser brought a great many experiences for what it took to withstand a demon's ways. Being from the light flight she deiced to go there. She knew the Sunbean Ruins better than the others besides the tundra. Ligero was only a hatchling at the time but she knew he would be well suited, perhaps it was in her blood to know a dragon's future. Negotiating treasure and gem prices the young Gaoler was brought to the frozen wasteland of the tundra. Far from his bright home. |

Ligero doesn't hate the position he was put into. He does regret not knowing his parents to well but the others might just use that for their advantage for all he knows.
He's quite knowledgeable on every demon in the clan; he either grew up with them or was around when they joined. He avoids putting himself in too much danger, knowing how to manipulate them or strike up a deal. On rare occasions, Ligero knows exactly what their plan or scheme is even before they've begun to set it in motion. But, the guard does have friends: Anlong a fellow mortal, Foru a calm soul who just so happens to be a demon, and Monarch the dragon who brought him here. To him, they're what keeps him sane. If he didn't have any dragon to vent his frustrations or not have to keep an eye on all the time he might've snapped like the old guard. Not saying the other demons aren't trying to do that. |
