Biography
"Where...am I?", Sunglow thought as he slowly opened his beautiful, pale-yellow coloured, shining orbs for eyes. Sunglow had never left the warm embraces and love of his parents, being the beloved son of the respected mages of a Light clan.
What his parents thought that Sunglow did not know, is that they had the undying tradition of sending away children over 4 months old. His parents had painstakingly withheld this piece of information from him, wanting him to fully enjoy his limited childhood with them.
As he became older, with a stronger body and fully-fledged wings, Sunglow had to find another family of his own, and learn to be independent. His parents showered him with love and attention as the day of his departure loomed nearer and nearer.
The day has come. His parents put him to sleep, making sure he knows that they will always love him before his consciousness slipped away, gathered him in their wings, and escorted him into a boat, letting it set sail into the vast, blue ocean.
//
Sunglow uncurled his beautiful, shining body, stretched his wings and looked around. Water, sunlight, algae floating on the ocean. Nothing but the sea in the horizon. Sunglow had been floating around the sea for more than two and a half weeks. He held back tears, head spinning fast and furious. He had been surviving on water he purified himself, and seafood.
"How did I not wake up?", Sunglow gloomily closed his eyes, recalling the day of being left alone by his parents every single day. Sunglow knew, smart and perceptive as he is, that he could not have escaped from his fate of being let go by his family, having heard stories and rumours from the clan he had been born in about this practice. Sunglow had been waiting. Waiting for the day his parents would shed light on the situation. He knew his parents loved him too much to say goodbye, yet he could never, ever forgive them for leaving him alone without warning.
He will survive. Sunglow is determined to live his life. Bingo! Sunglow sees a lovely island. Are those trees with stars for leaves? They seem really pretty. Maybe there will be a clan willing to take him in.
A grey Tundra approached him, strong and muscular wings creating currents even in the strong waves. He was accompanied with a beautiful Skydancer. She had shimmering wings that glimmered different shades of purple in the sunlight, and elegant limbs painted with the stories of the past since her birth. Her presence soothed Sunglow miraculously, given his naturally sceptical disposition, as she swooped behind the Tundra and landed gently on Sunglow's boat.
"Sir, he does not have bad intentions,", a gentle, soothing voice urged the Tundra, who seemed to be a warrior.
"Alright, Dawnflight, you should care for this little one. He seems harmless other than being distrusting and a little beat up.", the Tundra pointed out with a low and rumbling voice. "Yes sir,", the dragon who was probably named 'Dawnflight' replied with the utmost respect evident from her voice.
