No one is really sure of his true origin, but everyone just makes assumptions that The Viridian Labyrinth was once his home due to her eye color- admittedly he barely remembers where he came from, he'd been traveling for so long on her own. But after his time travelling for a new home; the coatl found his home in The Scarred Wasteland of all places for a Nature dragon to end up. He was soon given the name Excelsior and served his clan and their deity, Plaguebringer, through the use of alchemy and magic.
The young coatl had proven his skills in brewing ingredients into unique objects, it was purely accidental half the time- the other half being well memorized brews- but he was quickly enchanted by the items he had created with his own pair of claws. Determined to learn even more about the art of alchemy, he spent most of his time studying about all the already made recipes by other alchemists while at the same time doing some wild experiments for new things he 'discovered' on his own. |

Excelsior spent most of his time out exploring for new ingredients, or in his own little separated work place that he had made for himself. He’d try out nearly everything he came across with, mixing completely opposite and different elements with each other to see how things will turn out, he’s occasionally blown up his own place but it’s all alright, at least he learned something new every time. One can say that he might has an unhealthy obsession with alchemy, especially considering how much time he spends working with it. But to him, it’s a master work of art... that occasionally catches fire or explodes. Over time, his magical abilities and alchemic skills grew better. The explosions have lessened overtime, though smoke and loud sounds of bursting beakers can still be heard from time to time. Other alchemists and potion makers in the clan have offered to help him and organize his messy workspace, however Excelsior often refuses unless he needs an assistant for a new experiment. Usually, helpers didn't come back to assist him a second time, as most valued keeping unknown goo from splashing all over their scales. Excelsior claims to know where everything is... but no one knows if that's true or not. The clan values what he does discover, but they do hope he could become less chaotic when it came to his discoveries. If something isn't catching fire, bubbling, or smoking, it's typically scattered on the floor and shelves. |
