King

Basically, King regrets his early years of glory seeking. He was young, and blind, and he thought that war and fighting was what he wanted in life. By the time he realized he couldn't stand the pain he inflicted, it was too late. King resigned himself to being a savage political pawn to scare smaller clans into submission.

It took him many years to see that letting himself be led around by a rope wasn't worth his title or the luxury he was afforded. In the night, King left his chambers and before dawn was on his way to leaving his past behind in. It didn't surprise him in the least when Soldier arrived in his camp the morning after, and followed him loyally without a single word of doubt against him. Despite his worry over his family and the kingdom he was leaving behind, King never glanced back; They would sort themselves out without him, he reasoned. Perhaps, in his absence, the people would rise to power once again.

Now he resides in the draconic city of Atore, and though he attempted to free himself of politics he has found himself a valuable confident and member of the Atore Assembly. When he's not influencing the going ons of Atore, King often finds himself in the company of the rather quiet but oddly affectionate Poet. They often spends hours at a time combing through old texts and reciting interesting paragraphs and poems to each other until even candle light isn't enough to read by.
