lewis was once a gaoler who became so infatuated with a coatl (who was afraid of him and unable to understand his language) that he turned himself into one. the coatl who he thought would come to love him back rejected him for his dull plumage, unaware of the species' superstitions towards white-plumed coatls. his own clan rejected him as well, having no clue that this was their friend who could no longer speak their language. he continues to struggle adjusting to his new body due to the coatl's unique biology and can only hope that he can find a dragon who can turn him back to normal
