Biography

Geist is an alchemist that works primarily with nonliving substances, especially crystals and minerals, though he occasionally uses organic material such as teeth, bones, and feathers. He works in a small laboratory farther away from the rest of the clan, which happened to be the place of a mishap when an unlucky lightning strike hit the laboratory, causing a reactor to explode.

Geist, a jet-black spiral at the time, was covered in the hot fluid from the alchemical reactor.

If not for Glaussi, he may not have survived. His fellow Alchemist, followed naturally by Skellig who had sensed the mishap, came running to the site to help.

Geist was barely alive, his body so badly burned in some places that there was almost nothing left, rendering him completely crippled. Glaussi managed to neutralize the reacting chemicals, and Skellig got his body stabilized, but Glaussi stopped before they brought him back into consciousness. She was not sure if he would want to be saved in the state he was in.

Troubled, the two dragons went to Crowe and Celestial to seek out a solution.

The solution was something that they'd never done before, and it was questionable if it would work at all, but Crowe said that her studies hade her feel comfortable enough to try it. It was their only option they had left to save Geist.

Using the magic stored in a special set of her gems and trinkets, Crowe vaporized Geist for a moment, his body then reappearing as congealed orange slime.

The slime slowly melted, leaving a green skeletal figure in its place momentarily before it congealed around the upper half of Geist's body, slowly recreating his solid form.

The dragon opened his eyes, sitting up slowly as the orange slime pulsed around his new body.

Geist was okay, although there had not been enough of his original body left to have his entire body copied into the orange slime that reformed his figure. Fortunately, he had full control over the slime, and could rearrange it at will to use the body parts he needed.

He adjusted to his new form rather quickly, and before long he began to consider his new ability an improvement. Despite the mishap, Geist rebuilt his alchemy lab, and returned to his research.
